Facility Assistant – Miami Campus

Summary

The Facility Assistant performs daily facility operations responsibilities and assists the Facility
Maintenance Staff. Assist in the day-to-day operations of the university. Ensure that all daily activities
and supplies replacements are completed. Classroom set-up is ready before classes begin. Serve as
campus security as needed. Provide excellent customer services to the university’s constituents. The
Facility Assistant will assist with maintaining a safe and enjoyable facility environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Assists in the distributions of packages and other mail items received from the post office, UPS,
and/or other mail carriers.
• requested by work orders or as instructed by the Director of Administration.
• Assembles office furniture such as desks, chairs, bookcases, file cabinets, etc. as necessary.
• Responsible for all of the interior painting of the campus and maintain as needed.
• Responsible for minor repairs and installations of partitions, counters and other furniture and office
structures.
• Serve as campus security when needed.
• Responsible for the orderly maintenance of physical facilities.
• Responsible for the proper closing of the campus daily and ensuring the campus has vacated the
premises by everyone before closing.
• High School Diploma or equivalent and one year of related maintenance experience. Experience
working in academic environment preferred.
• Valid Florida Drivers is required
Work Schedule: Work Schedule 2:30pm – 11:00pm Monday- Thursday and Fridays 12:00pm-6:00pm,
may be required to work some Saturdays.
