Chief information Officer

SUMMARY: Albizu University is seeking an experienced and collaborative leader to serve as Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead the implementation of several important technology strategies and mature its IT practices.  The CIO will lead institutional technology planning, optimize the implementation of the current ERP and student information system, and build the skills and capabilities of Albizu’s technology organization. The CIO will be empowered to steward university-wide strategic planning initiatives for information technology, establish an enterprise architecture, lead the evaluation and adoption of technologies to improve processes and student services; partner with academic leadership to provide technology platforms to support growth in online courses and global programs; and maintain reliable and secure foundation technologies.  The CIO reports to the Chief Financial Officer.  The position will work from either the Miami or San Juan campus.  Available for travel.


  • Broad technology management experience and a blend of strategic and operational leadership capabilities.
  • Experience partnering with administrative leaders to change processes, and a track record of building effective IT services and project delivery capabilities
  • Master’s degree and eight years of progressively responsible experience managing a significant portfolio of technology and IT services in a complex multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is strongly preferred.
